Matthew Muckerheide, CPA, CMA, MBA

Founder | Partner

Matthew graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Business Management and Economics in 2010. He obtained his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business in 2017. He comes from a diverse background in corporate (Deloitte and GE Capital) and entrepreneurial roles across finance, accounting, investing, and M&A functions. He has extensive experience managing operating and investing companies across a wide range of industries. In 2022 Matt founded Guidepost Advisory. Matt was a college football player at Northern Illinois and enjoys staying active in Chicago, where he lives with his wife and daughter. Matt is active with Chicago Hope Academy, where he serves on the young professionals’ board.

Marshall Budin

Senior Associate

Marshall graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Economics and Philosophy in 2019. He is a current candidate for an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business in the class of 2024. He has an expertise in professional services helping to scale 66degrees from initial capital funding through acquisitions in a cross-functional finance and operations functions. He lives in Chicago and enjoys taking his Bernese Mountain Dog, Roo, on strolls through Wicker park. In 2023, Marshall joined Guidepost Advisory as its first full-time external hire.
